COMPETITIVE EDGE

Without Pollinators, Nothing Would Grow...

Over 10 years ago, JS Landscape began to notice honey bees on some of the properties it maintained in Jamestown, and we looked into becoming beekeepers. We had recently purchased farmland in Charlestown, and named our farm JODI Tree Farm, LLC, after ourselves and our new endeavor. Around the same time, Joe’s wife Diane, began beekeeping classes, and became a honey beekeeper. For the past eight years, she maintained hives on various maintenance properties throughout Jamestown, as well as on our farm in Charlestown and at our home in Wakefield. We have a full honey extraction production site on our farm, and sell our local honey throughout South County. We also provide education on honey beekeeping through our video tutorials and in-person classes. We will even come to you and provide consultation in your own apiary.

History About the Company

Joe Soito, Jr. grew up on the tip of the Northfork of Long Island. If you have ever traveled the New London Ferry to Orient Point, New York, you have probably passed the street he grew up on, a street to the Long Island Sound. As a teenager, he worked on local farms, learning from the old time farmers how to make things grow. When Joe graduated high school, he was accepted to Salve Regina in Newport, and graduated in 1991. Even before graduation, he had started maintaining properties in Newport, Middletown and Portsmouth. He officially launched J.S Landscape in 1992, and has been working primarily in Jamestown, Newport, and Narragansett ever since. He was awarded his arborist license in 1994, and became a licensed pesticide applicator in 1995.
